Jeep Safari to Patara and Saklikent

You are welcome aboard to one of our genuine Land Rover jeeps for a jeep safari to Patara beach and Saklikent gorge with a visit to ancient city of Tlos, trout farm Yakapark, mud bath and another ancient city of Xanthos.

Our adventure will have 6 interesting stages:

In the beginning of our journey we will visit the ancient Lycian city of Tlos where you can see famous rock cut tombs, by the way according to the Greek mythology the Bellerophon was buried there who with his winged horse Pegasus conquered the fire-breathing Chimaera.

Then we will go to the trout farm Yakapark - really beautiful and lush green place with waterfalls where you can see trouts even swimming there through the bar in freezing cold water. This place will give you refreshment for the rest of our journey. 

Our next stop will be Saklikent gorge where you will be having lunch in the restaurant by the river with main courses of chicken or fish and several mezes. After the meal you will be having about 1 hour to explore the gorge. Those who don’t want to walk inside the gorge can stay chilling in the restaurant. By the way the Saklikent gorge is the second longest canyon in the Europe. There are some activities for extreme lovers (extra charge) - bungee jumping and simple river rafting.

After the Saklikent canyon we will go to the mud bath place. Be prepared for the lots of fun playing with mud and making clay body masks moreover that mud has curative features for your skin. This part of our adventure will definitely leave smile on your face. 

One of the highlight of Patara Jeep Safari will be visit to the ancient city of Xanthos which was a largest city in Lycia and center of Lycian culture and commerce. Xanthos has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988.

And the pearl of our trip will be the one of the most beautiful and longest sandy beaches in Turkey - Patara beach. The length of the beach is about 20 km and Caretta Caretta turtles are coming here to lay their eggs down that’s why if you are lucky you can see them here sometimes. Here you will have a chance to swim and relax before journey back. We will spend 60 - 90 minutes in Patara beach.
