The Lycian Way Ultra Marathon in Oludeniz

The Lycian Way Ultra Marathon sees 27 runners competing for number one ranking in this test of endurance. The marathon is run on a section of the famous Lycian Way and the route will see runners battling with a number of terrains including forest, mountains, rocky paths, beaches, and steep slopes. The marathon covers 250 km of the antique Lycian Way that is 509 km long.

Along the way, runners are giving hotel lodging to help them recharge their batteries for the next day. This marathon is classed as one of the hardest in the world with high heat temperatures and a diverse route. Runners are giving GPS systems and maps to ensure they make it to the finish line.
